I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver’s license suspended for 30 days.

My Texas driving record has been “lost” and is not available.

Military:

I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL.

I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use.

By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

College:

I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a cheerleader.

Going Along the Same Theme…

Well, the Drug theme that is… You see these things on tv, but it is much scarier to witness in person! In what I can only assume was a drug bust, I was driving, and a U-haul pulled out of an alley… I noticed they had forgot to put the door down, then even more bizarre I noticed that there were a bunch of people in the back.

At first I thought maybe it was a bunch of illegal immigrant workers being dropped off at their homes. But as I got closer, I noticed that they were all dressed in black and all had automatic rifles in their hands. There were roughly 6 of them in the back, with a german shepherd. It was a swat team… I was a little scared, and didn’t know if I should continue following them.

Luckily, just as I was going to turn as to not be behind them anymore, they turned down a street. I was too scared to try and find out what they were doing, but I am going to watch the news and find out if they have any info on a big bust! The picture above is a very close representation of what they looked like in the back of that U-haul.

Aqua De Troit

Pepsi, today, announced what we have long suspected. They announced that Aquafina water comes from the same tap as the water in your home. New bottles of Aquafina will be labeled as P.W.S. (Public Water Source) after much criticism over making it seem like the water comes from mountain springs.

I have been in many discussions with people over paying the high price for something we can get for free out of taps everywhere. One friend of mine said she could tell the difference between bottled waters almost as if choosing a fine wine. While it probably goes through some kind of purification before being bottled, you can accomplish the same thing with a water filter. Why do people continue to pay upwards of $3.00 a bottle for this stuff? As with the Tootsie Pop, The world may never know!

UPDATE 06/08/07 1:01pm: She is headed back to jail! The judge has ordered her back to her cell to serve out the rest of her 45 day sentance! Good for him! Not caving into the family!

As many of you have probably already heard, that sniveling little beyotch, Paris, has been released from jail today. And for what? She had a “Medical Condition?!?!” A nervous break Don’t they have doctors at jails to take care of sick people? Oh, wait, I forgot… She’s got money!

This is a huge slap in the face of a justice system that already has proven to be corrupt and unfair. If this had ben joan schmoe crying and not eating and having a nervous break down, they’d be told to suck it up, they’re in jail for Crap’s Sake!

I am so tired of this spoiled brat… She says she has learned a valuable lesson, and hopes others learn from her. Yeah, they all just learned that money will buy you freedom! That’s not cool! I hope there is more fallout from this decision! Idealy, her back in jail, but I know that will never happen!

And, so now she is in house arrest for the next 40 days… And where? At the Hilton Mansion with servents, fresh air, and all the ammenities she could possibly want. That’s not house arrest… That is most people’s heaven! If you ask me, house arrest should be at a slum in East LA for the next 40 days, or a pig farm where she has to sleep with the swine!

So, what does a person do on her first night of house arrest do? Why throw a “Sprung from Jail” party. She can’t go to the clubs, so why not bring the party to her? If you couldn’t tell, this has me more than riled up!

UPDATE 06/07/07 7pm: Paris has been ordered by the same judge that put her behind bars to appear before him tomorrow morning in court. He has apparently questioned whether Sheriff Baca should be held in contempt of court for letting Hilton leave this morning. He is going to determine if she is to go back to jail… Given the past decisions from the judge, I expect to see her back in jail by tomorrow evening!

Enough Is Enough Is Enough!

So I awoke this morning, and to my dismay, it is snowing once again! For the 8th week in a row, we are being hit with snow! At this point we are a little more than a week away from setting a record for the longest time snow has covered the ground here!

With them expecting it remain snowing for the next 5 days now, this record will be broke! Don’t get me wrong I love snow, but in moderation! This has just become an annoyance at this point! What scares me most, is that we haven’t even hit Colorado’s snowiest months of March and April yet!

We are having a little competition here at work to see when the pile of snow in front of our windows will finally be gone… I jokingly said June 30th… The more this snow keeps coming, the more I am feeling like that was not a joke now!

I know there are plenty of areas across the country that wish they could get the snow we are getting. Believe me, if I could send it your way, I would! I think it would take getting every single person in the state of Colorado to go outside and blow to get this storm to go elsewhere!

I do hope that something good comes out of this, and we don’t have any water restrictions this summer! I would love to try and get the grass green in my yard this year!

UPDATE: Ok, so I am being told this is freezing fog, not snow… Could have fooled me, looks a lot like snow to me!! Also, the picture above is not from today… It is from the original blizzard.

This fits in the category of “WTF?”

So today at work, the place will remain anonymous in order to protect the innocent (namely me), I experienced one of the biggest WTFs in my time there. A few months ago, the company decided to take part of the work out of the stores, and ship the work to India. Thanks George!

Anyway, the past week I have started to experience the work coming from this company in India. The problem I have encountered here is that the company doing the work for us is using newer software than our company supports. So I have had to go back to the store that sent me the job, and ask that they get in touch with India to save the file back to an earlier format for us. So we then have to wait till this is accomplished and the file is sent back to me.

This is not the first time I have encountered jobs in newer versions of the software, but it is the first time it has come from a supposed “within the company source.” I sent out a request to the regional technology personnel. I asked to find out when we would be supporting the software, or if there was a possibility that our facility could upgrade given our special circumstances. They in turn sent that on to their boss.

I got cc’d in on an e-mail that went to someone at corporate, and that response was “Shouldn’t India be using software that we fully support?” So basically, corporate feels that this company, in India mind you, that is apparently more advanced than us, needs to downgrade to meet our company’s needs! Obviously someone didn’t do their research to make sure that everyone was on the same page to start with!

I understand that it is an expensive proposition to upgrade company wide, but when many of our clients are bringing work to us in programs that are newer than we have, it kind of makes us look bad! I guess that is the nature of large corporate conglomerations!
