iBuzz: 1000 Orgasms in Your Pocket! ;)

qphayes.png

Ok, this has to top the iPod accessories to come along. You knew that it was only a matter of time! While this will work with any mp3 player, it is obviously geared towards iPod users. I thought it was a joke at first, but apparently it is for real! It brings a whole new meaning to getting down to the beat of the music!

The iBuzz is a vibrator accessory for the iPod that pulses to the beat of the music you are listening to on your iPod. Just imagine getting your iPod video with your favorite porn, and you can actually feel like a part of the video! 😉 Thanks to Dusty for making my day with this interesting accessory!

Before & After: This Time it’s the Bedroom

bedroom.png
Here is the next installment in improvements to the house. We have ripped up the nasty carpet, and have decent hardwood floors in here as well. I have take out the nasty ceiling fan, and put in a more fitting light fixture. As this will eventually be the guest bedroom, where all the antiques will be going, I have put in a more antiquated looking light. The big lesson learned here: Don’t trust the paint swatch fairy! The picture is a little closer to the color I had hoped for, but in person, it looks almost mauve (It was supposed to be tan)! We’ll be trying this one again someday, but for now, it’s a big improvement.

Still dealing with the electrical problems. They have grown. Now, not only do I have the extension cord running across the house for my computer, but now I have one running from one side of the kitchen to the other for the refrigerator. Apparently, the Refrigerator, the disposal, and the dishwasher are all on the same circuit, so now that the dishwasher is hooked up, it has blown the circuit again! So still no dishwasher, but I do have the fridge working at least! Fun Stuff! 🙂

Anyway, that’s it for now, I will try and have more updates soon, but I have been extremely busy!

Before & After: The First Major Transformation!

office.png
Well, we are officially moved in! Here is one of the first major transformations! My new office!

It was a long week of getting ready to move in, but it is done! Thanks to everyone who helped! (Eric, Lorne, Danny, Karen, my Mom, Craig, Steve and Robin)! It definitely made the move go a lot faster! There is still a lot left to do and it will be a never ending project, I am sure of that, but we are getting by! I have started the process of removing the old sink and dishwasher in the kitchen. The kitchen sink started leaking after the Easter festivities yesterday. And right now I have a 50 ft extension cord running from my office to the other side of the house to get my computer running (the only other grounded outlet is in the office, and the breaker cuts out every time I try to plug in the computer).

We had fun yesterday morning, as my cat, Waldo, had figured out how to get in the crawl space! 30 minutes later, and help from Dan, we got him out of there… It is literally a CRAWL space! I was on my stomach pulling myself with my arms for much of it! Well, I will update with more pictures as we have them!

Sorry for the Lack of Updates

img_3189.png
They are all gone! It is now a white wall waiting for it’s new coat of Gray! We have started the kitchen, it is Spa Green for the ceiling and Sprig of Mint for the walls. I will get some pictures tomorrow for you! But, alas, the Disney room is no more! And good riddance Alexis! (Curse you damned child!) There was gum on the ceiling, and more stickers than you can shake a stick at! But I guess this is God’s way of punishing me for spitting my gum out in my closet as a child (I thought that was a safe place to hide it since, I had been stealing the fruit stripe from the Safeway). But I was 5, didn’t we all do that? Anyway, we officially move in on Saturday. I do hope to get more accomplished tomorrow than we did today, but that’s because I seemed to be running to Lowe’s every 5 minutes!

Well, off to bed, another long day ahead of me tomorrow! Tomorrow the appliances arrive!

Lord of the Onion Rings! Return of the King

king29hc.png
Hopefully having a scary pic of him on my site will help me get over my fear of him… He scares the Bejezus out of me everytime his commercial comes on…. This time Burger King has taken it too far! They start off with him in bed… No warning, nothing, just the King right there in your face! I fear he is more evil than Lord Vader, he is the true Emperor!

The Rose Report: Why are there Fries in the Oven?

moldyfriesinoven.png

OK, so I am going to start a new weekly segment that will simply be called “Rose.” And anyone who has watched the Golden Girls will soon learn why that is the title.

So this story takes place about 4 years ago now, roughly a year after I have moved into my new condo (this is important). So, I decided to have a few former co-workers over one night for dinner and games. We ordered Pizza of course, but I think I made a veggie tray. So the night was going swimmingly, and we had just finished dinner, and a few games. One of my friends decided it was time for the “brief mind you” tour of my condo. So they looked at the bedroom, and the bathroom. I was sitting on the couch while they looked around. Next thing I knew, one of them was asking when I had had fries? I looked at them and told them, I haven’t ever made fries. She looked at me again and asked, “Then what are these fries in the oven from?” I came over to see what they were talking about, and sure enough there was a tray with a bunch of straggling little shriveled up fries on a tray in the oven. I looked at them and was like, “Well, I guess they must have been from the previous person living here.” They were all shocked and reminded me how long I had been living there. All that time, and I hadn’t once opened the oven? How did I eat? Did I not inspect the place? What? I just told them, “ I don’t cook, I had no reason to look in the oven did I?”

There is no telling, in the end, just how old those fries really were! Oops… oh well… Now I cook, (well mostly Dan does) and have a new oven, but I will never live down the fry incident! So I might as well let everyone get a good laugh out of it!

Mac Users: 10.4.6 OS X Update (Read before updating)

b0002g71t0.png
As this OS X Tiger update has many things that Apple recommends that are different than previous updates, I thought I would post them to make sure you follow them before upgrading. You can also visit Apple’s help page about this upgrade.

From Apple’s Site:

Important: Please read before installing.
• If you use iSync, you should perform a full sync with your devices before installing this update. Mac OS X 10.4.6 Update includes a later version of iSync with several improvements. For more information and before-you-install steps, see iSync 2.2: Read before updating to Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later, or before first sync
• With the Mac OS X 10.4.6 system software update, PowerPC-based Macs will restart twice, instead of once, after the initial installation.
• You may experience unexpected results if you have third-party system software modifications installed, or if you’ve modified the operating system through other means. (This does not apply to normal application software installation.)
• The installation process should not be interrupted. If a power outage or other interruption occurs during installation, use the standalone installer (see below) from Apple Downloads to update.
• If issues occur during installation–for example, Software Update quits unexpectedly, please see this article.

I hope this helps.

Disaffected! – They Mock Me! :)

game.png
A friend of mine sent me this game. While the game isn’t really an easy one to play, it’s quite funny as it makes fun of the FedEx Kinko’s employees, and stupid customers. I haven’t worked in a branch in over 6 years now, but I am sure the experience is still the same, and this game does a great job of capturing it! Gotta be able to laugh at yourself though! The fact that someone had enough time and energy to create a game about my workplace shows just how bad things are at FedEx Kinko’s these days.

from the game’s website:
“Disaffected! gives the player the chance to step into the demotivated position of real FedEx Kinkos employees. Feel the indifference of these purple-shirted malcontents first-hand, and consider the possible reasons behind their malaise — is it mere incompetence? Managerial affliction? Unseen but serious labor issues?”
