Lucille Is Home!

It was hard, but after Nina’s passing, Dan and I went back out and looked at the rest of her litter. At first I was a little uncertain as the didn’t seem to warm up as quickly to us as Nina did. But the second time I held Lucille, she looked up at me and started licking my nose… I knew at that instant, she was the one!

Dan had no problems coming up with her name this time around! She finally was able to come home yesterday, and she is so adorable! I spent all yesterday with her, and she had tons of visitors. She was just as sweet to each of them as she has been to Dan and I. Enjoy a little video of her playing.

In Memorium

Well, Dan and I continue to get kicked by that steel-toed boot. Dan and I found out that our dear Nina Puppy-head passed away this week.

I called to see if I could visit Nina on the way back from my brother’s house after a day of sorting through my Dad’s belongings. I needed a little pick-me-up. He told me he needed me to send him some pictures of Nina to confirm his fears. He said that they had lost one of the puppies, and he was pretty sure it was our Nina.

I talked with him this afternoon after getting the pictures, and it was indeed our Nina that had passed. She suffered from Fading Puppy Syndrome. Basically SIDS for puppies. She stopped nursing and became despondent.

Dan and I will be heading up this weekend to look at ther rest of the puppies and are hopping to find another one that we find a connection with as strong as Nina’s.

She may have only been around for a little under 6 weeks, but she made a very big impression on Dan and myself in that time. She will be sadly missed!

Nina Puppy-head of Andio’s

So we headed back up to Brighton to get to see our new sweetie, Nina. We got pictures this time! She is just too precious!

We got to meet the father of Nina today, and he has just as good a disposition as the mother of Nina! Now if only Sept. 10th would hurry up and get here.

Here is a gallery of her pics

Am I the Only One Seeing Something Wrong Here?

Apparently, Us Homosexuals are lower than dogs! Today, at the Aspen Grove’s “Lifestyle” Center, they tried to set a record for the most dogs to be wed at one time. I didn’t hear any about any protests that this was blasphemous to the practice of marriage. Yet, gays and lesbians are still denied this right that is apparently now reserved for man and woman, and dogs if you happen to be of the canine persuasion!

Maybe I am wrong, but the “definition” of marriage that the right wing is trying to push is between one man and one woman… To me, that would mean that dogs are just not in that category! They are neither man or woman… they are just bitches! How does THIS not make a mockery of marriage?

My favorite part of the article? This quote right here:

“It was time to make it legal. Dezi is totally in love with Lucy,” she said. “They are both almost two years old and they’ve been living together the whole time.”

That’s all that many of us in the GLBT community have been trying to do for years now!

Will She Ever Learn?

This morning, as I was getting ready for work, I heard a loud crash in the living room. I knew that it meant one thing… That my cats were getting in trouble again!

I came into the living room just in time to see Prezley come stumbling out from behind the entertainment center. I also noticed the Wii sensor bar lying on the floor… two and two tells me that she had a lapse in memory from when she tried jumping on top of my computer monitor the day I switched to a flat panel monitor about 4 years ago!

p.s. Don’t worry, the TV is ok! 🙂

Fun Videos Found Today!

I have found a couple of videos around the web that I felt that I need to share. I couldn’t wait till this weekend’s blog-o-sphere tid-bits. They are just so great! Enjoy!

The first come from Life After Coffee showing what happens to boiling water when thrown into really really cold weather.

The second comes from a new blog I discovered through Kevin at actorshmactor. This comes from I Bet After Sex He Smokes a Ham. A Piano Playing Cat:

Fastlad brings us a disturbing yet highly comical advertisement for a Dirt Mall.

The Hermit talks about his Hike up Chate Mesa in the snow! He has some great pictures from the hike on his Flikr page, looking at them, it’s hard to believe they’re from Colorado. It looks so different!

Gizmodo links to a video to bring Shut Down Day (a month away) to our attention. March 24, 2007. Can you turn your computer off for a day?

Fresh of finishing Lego Star Wars II, I find anything Lego of interest right now 🙂 Like this handy toilet paper dispenser on Gizmodo, or this fun Lego inspired desk.

Still from Gizmodo, Here is a fun little article showing why the Wii is taking dominance in the US, and from a source that many might find unlikely!

Last week, I had you all send well wishes to Amber and her cat. This week, I am asking you to send those wishes on to Andy and Mandrake over at Spicy Cauldron. Mandrake had to have his leg amputated this past week.

Well, I think that is it for this week. Next week’s Tid-Bits will be coming live from my new site set to debut on Friday, March 2nd, 2007!

Some big goings on in the the Blog-O-Sphere this week!

First, looks like the real father of Anna Nicole Smith’s Daughter Dannielynn has come forward over at Jeff C.’s new improved Footprints on the Ceiling, and it appears to be a local!

On a more serious note, one of my newer blogging friend’s, Amber, posts about her Skittles being diagnosed with Feline Luekemia. Please send her well wishes as she goes through this rough time! You can also read about what exactly Feline Luekemia is, and what it does as well as symptoms.

Fastlad has brought us an article that shows the real way to hate gay people. And it isn’t the way NBA player, Tim Hardaway, did it. Really makes me sad that people can’t all just get along. 😦

Howard and Fastlad brought this lighthearted look at the 3 Musketter’s commercial that is making the other one Snicker:

Gizmodo brings us a look another advancement in Japanese Vending Machine technology! It sure makes those iPod vending machines pale in comparison!

Scott-O-Rama brings us this bizarre look at wedding rituals.

Howard has an interesting read about labeling people these days and how it has gotten out of control and being used in a bad light.

A few weeks ago, Out in Hollywood posted about Hasselhoff taking one of the leads in “The Producers” in Vegas. Well this week he has posted pictures of Hasselhoff getting all dolled up, and boy does he look like a drag!

I helped Dan get his header together for his blog this week, chocked full of naked men to attract the gay men to his site! It seems to be a requirement for gay blogs.

And finally, as of this posting, the number of spam comments Akismet has saved me from has outnumbered the number of actual comments I have on my blog! 420 to 418 as of right now.
