Blog-O-Sphere Tid-Bits – April 28, 2007

Wow, what a busy weekend this has already been! I had a birthday party to go to for Dan’s sister last night, a going away party for a long-time co-worker of mine, and then a birthday party for Dan’s niece today! And then I have my birthday party tomorrow night since Dan works on my birthday this Monday.

First off, I want to wish Karen all the best as she starts a new life in Grand Junction, CO. She will be going to open up one of the new Compact Car stores for FedEx Kinko’s. The company is set to expand like wildfire in the next few years, and as a result many co-workers are getting the opportunity to try new hats. I look forward to hearing how she adjusts to life in a small town!

Kevin over at Actorschmactor has a great post on fears and why we have them. I really think it boils down to our fears helping keep us grounded and real!

Blogography celebrated his 4th year blogging on this incarnation of his blog! Congrats… Here’s to many more years!

The Hermit has a funny post written from his cat’s point of view about all the changes he has been going through with moving out to a secluded shed.

Bossy has realized what a hoodie and wind can do to her… It makes her on the most wanted list!

I’m so proud of my Dan! After only 3 weeks he has earned a well deserved full-time position at his new job! A feat they said would take 3 months.

This is a very scary statistic that has been pointed out by Spooky!

Spicy gives us an update on Mandrake‘s adjusting to his missing appendage. Apparently he is finally realizing that his leg will not be growing back. At least Mandrake has a very loving family to help him adjust!

And finally an interesting new study from scientists that give sufferers of migraines some good news about a painful condition.

Wow, this week went fast! Feels like I just did one of these.

My friend Dusty sent me this link to a fun site where you can create your own Jackson Pollock inspired painting.

Here is a hilarious video from the Ellen show that I came across on a new blog I discovered this week at Ryan’s Legroom.

This is a great video I came across on Gizmodo. They had run an article about this guy’s flat in the UK a bit ago. But now the BBC news ran a piece on his place that will be going up for sale on ebay soon.

Scissor Sister fans will find this little gem from Musings of a Purple Dragon funny! A great cover version of I Don’t Feel Like Dancing bluegrass style

Does Ann Coulter really get under your skin? How about Chap your hide? Well, Out in Hollywood has found a way to let you shit all over her!

My boyfriend Dan finally got that new job… He’s all grown up now with a profession and everything! Way to go Mr.!

Howard has a really great tribute post to a very special lady that was a huge influence in his improv career at The Web Pen.

And finally, Spicy has written about how Homeland Security wants to make the classic movie TRON simply disappear.

I have a few comments on the “From the Archive” feature, so I have put up a poll in the sidebar to get your feedback. I will leave it up for a couple weeks to see what people’s thoughts are.

On with the tid-Bits! 🙂

Kevin answers the question about which one was a lie… and, well, I was wrong. 😦

Howard has posted his rant on the whole Ann Coulter controversy. And it isn’t necessarily the stance that most have been taking, but I would have to say I agree with him. Looks like Best Gay Blogs thought it was a worthy article as well!

My boyfriend, Dan, tells of a great story about a co-worker that seems to not be able to control her hands… Meet Giggle Crotch!

Spooky brings us a cute picture of their newest little one.

What happens when you are in a car and it’s hit by lightning? Gizmodo brings us a video from UK’s Top Gear.

Life After Coffee brings another great video. This time it is a video showing just how much effort one guy put into being able to be extra lazy at the big games.

I guess that is it for this week. 🙂

New digs, means new graphics. Let me know what you think. 🙂

To start it off, Howard posted a hilarious IM between myself and him about the Keebler Elf dying this past week.

Kevin at Actorschmactor has asked us to pick out the lie of his. I am voting for the Dolphins… Dolphins in Wisconsin?

A made from TV movie I might be interested in seeing, Scott-O-Rama provides information regarding the Get Smart movie!

Apparently I bought my new monitor too soon. Check this out on Gizmodo!

Many of you may remember the video of this poor bear on the treadmill. I bring you another in his adventures.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

I guess that’s it for this week. Enjoy 🙂

Fastlad brings us a disturbing yet highly comical advertisement for a Dirt Mall.

The Hermit talks about his Hike up Chate Mesa in the snow! He has some great pictures from the hike on his Flikr page, looking at them, it’s hard to believe they’re from Colorado. It looks so different!

Gizmodo links to a video to bring Shut Down Day (a month away) to our attention. March 24, 2007. Can you turn your computer off for a day?

Fresh of finishing Lego Star Wars II, I find anything Lego of interest right now 🙂 Like this handy toilet paper dispenser on Gizmodo, or this fun Lego inspired desk.

Still from Gizmodo, Here is a fun little article showing why the Wii is taking dominance in the US, and from a source that many might find unlikely!

Last week, I had you all send well wishes to Amber and her cat. This week, I am asking you to send those wishes on to Andy and Mandrake over at Spicy Cauldron. Mandrake had to have his leg amputated this past week.

Well, I think that is it for this week. Next week’s Tid-Bits will be coming live from my new site set to debut on Friday, March 2nd, 2007!

Some big goings on in the the Blog-O-Sphere this week!

First, looks like the real father of Anna Nicole Smith’s Daughter Dannielynn has come forward over at Jeff C.’s new improved Footprints on the Ceiling, and it appears to be a local!

On a more serious note, one of my newer blogging friend’s, Amber, posts about her Skittles being diagnosed with Feline Luekemia. Please send her well wishes as she goes through this rough time! You can also read about what exactly Feline Luekemia is, and what it does as well as symptoms.

Fastlad has brought us an article that shows the real way to hate gay people. And it isn’t the way NBA player, Tim Hardaway, did it. Really makes me sad that people can’t all just get along. 😦

Howard and Fastlad brought this lighthearted look at the 3 Musketter’s commercial that is making the other one Snicker:

Gizmodo brings us a look another advancement in Japanese Vending Machine technology! It sure makes those iPod vending machines pale in comparison!

Scott-O-Rama brings us this bizarre look at wedding rituals.

Howard has an interesting read about labeling people these days and how it has gotten out of control and being used in a bad light.

A few weeks ago, Out in Hollywood posted about Hasselhoff taking one of the leads in “The Producers” in Vegas. Well this week he has posted pictures of Hasselhoff getting all dolled up, and boy does he look like a drag!

I helped Dan get his header together for his blog this week, chocked full of naked men to attract the gay men to his site! It seems to be a requirement for gay blogs.

And finally, as of this posting, the number of spam comments Akismet has saved me from has outnumbered the number of actual comments I have on my blog! 420 to 418 as of right now.

Howard writes a bit of a Eulogy for one of his favorite bands that have decided to go their own way after 19 years at Waking Up With Morning Song.

I will leave this place for Scott-O-Rama should his site come back up. I know he was not happy with GoDaddy.com, I hope they didn’t retailiate and take his site down! UPDATE: Well his site is back up, and the outage wasn’t due to GoDaddy. So, this past week, he posted a great video that shows how stupid Americans can be.

Robguy posts a hilarious video of Steve Irwin and Ross the Intern from the Tonight Show. I know this is old, but I hadn’t seen it before, and I was left in stitches afterwords!

Andy at Spicy Cauldron posts about yellow snow falling in Russia. We’ve been getting week after week of snow here in Colorado, but at least it hasn’t been smelly and yellow!

Patrick at twenty something posted a hilarious spoof of a sequel to Titanic. I admit, I was at first taken in by it thinking it was real… Then I did a little digging. I can be soooo blond!!!

Greg from Out in Hollywood writes about David Hasselhoff getting one of the lead rolls in Las Vegas’ production of The Producers.

Gizmodo shows the different paths of upgrades between MS Vista and Mac OS X. Want to Simplify?

And for those of you that, like me, feel the commercials are the only reason to watch the superbowl? YouTube has the answer!

It was the triumphant return of Heroes on Monday! Finally! The first series on NBC to catch my attention in a long time!!!

This week, I want to start off with a rant from Scott-O-Rama, that rings true with me. Don’t people realize Christmas was more than a month ago? Oh, and Scott, congrats on the Weblog award nomination… Everyone go vote for him under the best glbt blog category!

Andy at the Spicy Cauldron has a great story about a visit from Cat’s past!

Robguy has a great list of the Top 8 morons of 2006!

I seem to have started a second phase of the trend of moving to wordpress. My boyfriend Dan, has abandoned his old blog for the more user friendly wordpress! Now if Dan would just start posting again!

Howard crossed the 400th post mark with this great story about his childhood!

Greg at Out in Hollywood has a great post of an interview with Zach Braff from Scrubs.

Well, I guess that about does it for this week’s edition… Enjoy!
